Grab your friends and family and take a bus to Boston to celebrate this Independence Day in one of the country’s oldest cities! Come join the half of million people that come from all around the country for one of Boston’s most commemorable celebrations, the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular!
Beginning to sound enticing? Here’s everything you need to know about the event:
The electrifying holiday weekend kicks off on July 3rd with an impressive lineup that is bound to entertain with a concert featuring Conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra. Bring a blanket and some games, show starts at 8:30 P.M.! Might not be in the area to catch the concert on the 3rd? Worry not! Head to the Esplanade on July 4th and this time BSO will be performing alongside some special guests also at 8:30 P.M.! Scheduled performers include (TBA). And bring earplugs because things will get loud, fireworks pop off at 10:30 P.M.! Don’t miss out!
The best areas to catch the concert as well as the fireworks are the the Oval and the Island, both along the Boston side of the Esplanade, just right outside the Hatch Shell. Come quick as this event is free and open to the public so spaces go on a first-come-first-serve basis. Once these spots are filled up, they will be closed off until after the show! It should be noted that there is a bag check prior to entrance into one of the two areas. Can’t make it to either areas? Quite all right, catch the show, and a beautiful Boston skyline views, from Cambridge. Sound towers will be placed along the river on both Boston and Cambridge!
