Step 1: Travel from Boston to New York
You can find and book a great deal on a bus or train from Boston to NYC for as little as $1. There are multiple companies conducting numerous trips on that route throughout the day, so you have a huge pool of options to choose from. When you’re planning your trip, remember to allow additional time between your scheduled bus or train arrival time and flight time to account for any unforeseen delays you might experience along the way.
Once you get to New York, you proceed to step two of your journey.
Step 2: Get from Manhattan to JFK Airport
In New York, connect with an NYC Airporter shuttle to JFK International Airport. Making the Boston to JFK bus connection with NYC Airporter is easy because it departs right at Grand Central Terminal.
Previously, it served several other stops, but the carrier has reduced its service to this one route. So, if you previously used the Airporter and boarded at other stops, be warned! Grand Central Terminal is the only place to board if you’re headed towards JFK after connecting between Boston and New York.
NYC Airporter stops at Grand Central Terminal and runs from 11am to 7pm. The ticket price as of June 2018 is $18 one way.
Wanderu Tip: For the shortest transfer between the bus and the airport shuttle, choose Greyhound, GoBuses, Peter Pan, or Amtrak. You don’t want to be forced to take a cab or else walk a long distance with luggage!

NYC Airporter
NYC Airporter is a shuttle service to and from Manhattan and JFK & LaGuardia Airports which are both located significantly outside the city. The NYC Airporter runs seven days a week from 11am to 7pm, with shuttles departing approximately every 20-30 min. If you have children under 3 years old, they ride for free!
JFK International Airport
JFK is a major international airport located about 12 miles (19 km) southeast of Lower Manhattan, the largest city in the United States. The airport is a hub for travelers flying out or coming in from Europe, Asia, Africa, and more, and is the busiest international air passenger gateway in the United States.
Boston, MA
