Amtrak Thruway

Pros: Reliable. Good driver; on time;. Cons: I couldn’t hear the driver very well with his mask on.

Amtrak Thruway

Pros: I mean… the destination. Cons: It’s a bit hard to understand the policy about paying the driver extra, in cash (and cash ONLY), to enter Grand Canyon park. Luckily I had cash. I would prefer to have paid in advance for this. Tips: Study VERY carefully the policy about paying to enter Grand Canyon Park. I didn’t know (or remember) that I would be paying more to the driver, in cash, for this purpose. At the same time, I was convinced to buy a pass on line from the Park Service, for $20, that turned out not to be needed. So, a waste. Don’t do what I did! And bring that cash for your driver or you may be left behind (my driver said to me).

Amtrak Thruway

Pros: We actually arrived early, saved me some time. Cons: Weather! It was snowing a bit in late May in Flag. It happens, but the driver was confident and skilled on the snowy streets. Tips: Enjoy the scenery.
