Amtrak

Pros: It was a pleasure to not have to fight the freeway traffic from Ventura County to the San Diego Comic Con! I was just sitting in my window seat looking out the window the view going by, eating fig newtons. And it was AMAZING to be dropped off just blocks away from the convention center and NOT have to worry about finding a parking spot. On my return train ride to Ventura County, I was sooo tired that I actually napped WITHOUT missing my station stop! It's the ONLY way to go to the CON. Cons: There were a few remote instances where the train shook from side to side pretty vigorously, which was kinda spooky. Earthquake? Wind turbulence? Gremlins? Tips: To avoid a jam packed train don't take the last train to leave the Con. I left on the 6:01 am and it was a train cake walk. Might want to research peak rider travel days.

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

Pros: Being able to face the ocean in a car with lots of windows! Being able to plug my phone in beside me. Other passengers were very nice. Cons: Ask passengers to wear masks. On the App it would be cool if I could see the progress by station.
