Pros: Most all of the trips arrival were on time. Staff on board is helpful to passengers’ needs and travel information. Quiet cars are enforced and passengers are expected to refrain from cell phone chatter. No extra charge for WiFi. Seats and trays are clean. Cons: During travel times, the bathrooms need attention. Tips: Highly recommend Amtrak travel. Stations are safe places to wait, either for the train’s arrival or other transportation. In New London, Conn., I appreciate the closeness to Cross Sound Ferry, making my trip seamless.
