Amtrak Silver Service

Pros: Lot of space Nice staff Bathrooms were available. Cons: Temperature IT WAS FREEZING ON THE TRAIN. Jackets were required. Nice when it is 100 degrees outside but it wasn’t that cold outside but the cars were cold! Seats are in need of upgrading cushions are shot. Tips: Bring a jacket Sit back and enjoy the ride Hope the train is on time.

Amtrak Silver Service

Pros: Nice and clean. Very roomy. It was a very enjoyable trip. Cons: Restrooms were messy. They probably should be checked every 1/2 hr. People are messy. Tips: This was my second trip on Amtrak and both were nice. I would recommend it as a way to travel.

Opened in 1912, the Tampa Union Station is a historic train station that currently serves the Amtrak Silver Star train line, which runs from Miami to New York. The beautiful red brick station house features large windows and soaring ceilings. Located in the Channel District of Tampa, Union Station is close to several rental car agencies and has on-site and nearby parking available. Amtrak Thruway bus service stops at Union Station, and Greyhound bus service runs through a bus terminal only .5 miles away on Polk St.
