Pros: The convenience of being picked up and delivered close to my original starting point and destination. The lift for handicapped travelers and their luggage was especially convenient although it was only available in one stop out of many. Cons: I started and returned to flights at Midway Airport. You'd think that a transportation service could be arranged to take me from Midway to the train station. The railroad schedules are apparently only suggestions and do not account for travelers embarking and disembarking. Tips: The Summit, IL Railroad station is only 4 miles from Midway Airport, but will require a cab, Uber or Lyft. The railroad often runs 30 min to 1 hour behind published railroad schedule times. The train only stops when riders have made advanced reservations for a stop.

Pros: This was my first trip on the train from Bloomington to Summit. The staff were helpful and pleasant alerting me to to my stop. The last time I took a train to the Chicago area was 1963 from Peoria to Union Station on the Rockisland Rocket to get registered for the draft. I am now 77. Cons: It was a delightfull trip. Tips: Be patient.
