Pros: It's been 20 plus years since I been on a Amtrak. So brings good memories and I enjoyed the trip with my son which was his first time. Tips: I could had drive but I figured I take the Amtrak instead and sit back and enjoyed the ride and the beautiful view.

The station is currently situated on the site of the fabled Alvarado Hotel, once a luxury railroad hotel for early 20th century travelers.
