Fayetteville is a charming North Carolina city with much to discover. Military history is prominent in Fayetteville, since it’s the home of Fort Bragg, the largest military base in the world. The Amtrak train station in El Paso was designed by Daniel Burnham, the architect of the Washington D.C. Union Station. The red-bricked building is easy to spot, though the large, green-roofed bell tower makes the building look more like a church than a train station. Inside, the church-style continues with high ceilings, arched windows, mosaic tiles, and pew-style seating. The station has plenty of parking for your car. Nearby is a small shopping center where you can get a coffee shop, candy shop, and multiple body-health stores.

Fayetteville's main railway station is in the Fayetteville Downtown Historic District, and the building itself is on the list of North Carolina's Registered Historic Places. The station serves two Amtrak lines, namely Palmetto, which travels between New York and Savannah, and Silver Service, which travels from New York to Miami. Within the station, you can find a ticket office, waiting area, information desk, and a Subway restaurant, and there is also parking directly behind the station. Outside the station, there are no amenities in the immediate vicinity, but multiple restaurants and local hotels are a short distance away.
