Austin to Burlington coach

Austin is the capital of the Lone Star State and one of the best vacation destinations in Texas. Known as Texas’s “weird” city, Austin is famous for being the southern mecca for the arts. While the Austin airport is located on the outskirts of the city, the main train station is right in the heart of downtown. Similarly, the two bus stations that serve Austin are located close to the city center, making ground transportation the more convenient way to travel in and out of town.

About halfway between Winston-Salem and Durham in North Carolina, Burlington is a bustling city originally named "Company Shops" because of the railroad offices and shops that the North Carolina Railroad Company established at the site. Though a small city, Burlington's community is a charming place to explore with all of the amenities you need for a comfortable stay.

Start at the Company Shops Depot, once the town's busy train station but now a venue for events and concerts. Next, learn about the War of the Regulation that occurred in North Carolina in 1771 by visiting the Alamance Battleground State Historic Site. If you're traveling with little ones, head to neighboring Graham to spend the day at the Children's Museum of Alamance County. Nature lovers can check out the Shallow Ford Natural Area and tours at Cedarock Park.

The nearest major airport is Raleigh-Durham International Airport, about 45 minutes away from Burlington. You can take the Amtrak Carolinian or Piedmont directly into Burlington from New York, D.C., Charlotte, or Raleigh. Bus routes also make it easy to reach Burlington, especially on affordable Wanda Coach trips from New York.
