Amtrak Empire Builder

Pros: Beautiful scenery and I could read a book instead of sitting in traffic. Cons: They don't allow bikes on the train at the Leavenworth station, which is a bummer cuz I really wanted to take my bike to Seattle. There was no way to find this information out before hand since the Leavenworth station is unmanned and if you call amtrak you can only talk to a robot that just repeats what's on the website. Also the train was about 30 mins late getting to Leavenworth and then got stuck behind tons of freight trains into Everett so we were a little over an hour later than expected. I wish there was a faster, cheaper train option in this country... Tips: Bikes are not allowed on the train at the Leavenworth station. Enjoy the view, the Cascades are beautiful!
