Pros: Quite comfortable and convenient. Cons: Tickets should be easily shown through online, not only by printing. Staying in Kingston for 20 minutes is too long. 10 minutes will be much better.

Pros: I can always rely on the bus to get me to and from my destination safely and timely. Bus drivers are always polite and efficient. Cons: I think the company should do more to enforce mask use and safety measures. Sometimes there’s a full bus and it’s scary to be in close proximity to a stranger during a pandemic. Also most travelers come on without a mask or don’t wear it during the ride. That’s dangerous! There are signs that say all travelers must wear mask but it’s not enforced so people don’t follow it.

Adirondack Trailways Bus Guide & FAQs

What is the difference between Adirondack Trailways, New York Trailways and Pine Hill Trailways?

Adirondack Trailways, New York Trailways and Pine Hill Trailways are sub-brands of the Trailways of New York transportation company. Each brand operates as an individual business with its own network of routes and services.

Do Adirondack Trailways buses have WiFi?

Yes, Adirondack Trailways offers WiFi on their buses. Although most trips with Adirondack Trailways will have WiFi as advertised, some buses might not come equipped with WiFi and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a movie just to play it safe. Adirondack Trailways WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favorite show.

Are there power points or USB points on the bus?

Yes, there are power points onboard Adirondack Trailways buses. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbour might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power points, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a power point USB converter that typically comes with most phones and tablets.

Since Adirondack Trailways might sometimes use replacement bus vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.

What is Adirondack Trailways's schedule?

On a typical day, Adirondack Trailways has 1978 scheduled bus trips in total. However, the exact departure and arrival times vary depending on the day and route. The best way to find the exact schedule for your trip is to use the search tool on this page.

The total dimensions of each bag (combined length + width + height) should not exceed 62 inches. Also, your bag should not weigh more than 50 lbs (22 kg). If you are planning to check in more than one bag, keep in mind that the total weight of all your stowed luggage may not exceed 100 lbs.

You are also allowed to bring one carry-on item that can fit easily in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.

As Adirondack Trailways travels to some of the best outdoors destinations in the Northeast, the carrier also allows you to bring the following sports equipment with you and stow it in the baggage compartment:

  • Skis & snowboards – these may exceed 45 inches in length as long as they are securely wrapped in suitable material such as canvas, nylon or leather.
