Cons: Comfortable ride, ample seating, friendly staff except one female who was almost rude when I asked for help with my luggage as I stepped off the train. I am 81 years of age so have never had a Porter day to me, “well yoi should have checked it!”. Tips: Train travel is the way to go!

Pros: The peace and quiet. Cons: Vending machines doesn’t take card. Only cash, a little inconvenient especially riding for 3 hours. Tips: Bring cash, relax, and enjoy the ride!

Pros: Train was on time and arrived at destination on time and staff was helpful. Cons: Not having kids kicking back of seats, bag hooks for purses under laptop stand or under seat.

Pros: the conductors were well organize. People going from Cary to Charlotte - in one section. People traveling from Cary to other cities in another section. Not a lot of movement going on in my section other than going to the restroom. Able read, listen to music which made the trip great due to little to no interruptions. Cons: The railroad tracks are old. sooner or later Amtrak will need funding from the government to improve the rails (train tracks from Cary to Charlotte) system.

Pros: It was pretty straightforward at the Charlotte station. Staff were constantly asking where we were headed. Greensboro was a bit confusing because there was no one saying anything. Cons: The seats and floor were disgusting looking and covered in stains. The curtains can also stand to be cleaned. Tips: No.

Pros: Super easy and simple. Cons: Bus was an hour late. Tips: Snacks and sodas were available to purchase for about $1. Free water and decent coffee available.

Pros: Friendly, helpful conductors. Cons: Outlet to charge phones. (There were many on my return trip, but none going to Durham.). Tips: Be flexible about time. My return trip was delayed almost an hour.

Pros: It was a very pleasant trip. The train car was quiet and I met an interesting person. Train trip was on time and hassel free. Cons: More trains available around the country. Tips: If possible take a train. It's more comfortable and cheaper than flying.
