Pros: Vehicles were comfortable and on time. The availability of free WIFI and power plugs in the first bus was awesome. Cons: (1) You could reduce the length of the second stop in Rivivere-de-loup to the just necessary time. We wasted 1 hour seating and doing nothing...

Cons: (1) You could reduce the length of the second stop in Rivivere-de-loup to the just necessary time. We wasted 1 hour seating and doing nothing (2) The announcements in the bus should be done by messages that are recorded in standard English and French "accent". It is difficult to understand Canadian french for international travelers. Why not having recorded messages in good English and French like the one we have in Montreal bus and metro. Tips: If you are not used to the Canadian accent, pay attention to announcements and try to ask you neighbor to repeat or explain the content of the message; especially announcements that relate to change of bus. Otherwise you will find yourself at a wrong destination.

Pros: Amazing view everywhere. Cons: Add the opening staff in the ticketing window because the volume of the people is non stop so the line up will flow smoothly. Tips: Should be early all the time before your trip to avoid any hassle.

Maritime Bus Bus Guide & FAQs

Do Maritime Bus buses have WiFi?

No, unfortunately Maritime Bus does not offer WiFi aboard its buses at this time. However, we find that a good book makes the time fly by and streaming services like Netflix allow you download TV shows and movies that you can then watch during your trip. Plan ahead and you will stay entertained during the entire bus ride.

Are there power points or USB points on the bus?

Maritime Bus does not offer power points on their buses at this time. We suggest you charge up your laptop ahead of time and bring a power bank for your phone to extend its battery life for the duration of the trip. And remember - a good book doesn’t require any power.

What is Maritime Bus's schedule?

On a typical day, Maritime Bus has 2095 scheduled bus trips in total. However, the exact departure and arrival times vary depending on the day and route. The best way to find the exact schedule for your trip is to use the search tool on this page.

Can you pick up will call tickets at the station?

No, Maritime Bus does not offer will call tickets. You should purchase your tickets online and make sure you have everything you need to board before you arrive at the station.

Do you need an ID to get on the bus?

Yes, Maritime Bus requires you to present an ID to an agent to be allowed to board the bus. Make sure you have identification issued by a government agency that meets the carrier’s requirements. Alternative IDs, such as a college ID, won’t work.

Are there toilets on Maritime Bus buses?

Yes, there are bathrooms on Maritime Bus buses. The bathrooms are pretty basic and include a toilet, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Most bathrooms don’t have running water. As you will be using a bathroom on a moving vehicle, please use caution and hold on to a rail at all times.

Are meals or drinks offered during the trip?

Maritime Bus does not offer meals or beverages onboard. We recommend you bring a drink and some snacks for your trip. We also suggest packing a reusable water bottle with you to reduce your impact on the environment. However, note that most buses do not allow you to bring your own alcoholic drinks.

Do you have to print your Maritime Bus ticket?

Maritime Bus does not require a printed ticket to board the bus. Instead, an eTicket is sent to you by email when you make your reservation. You can use your smartphone to show this eTicket to the ticketing agent as you board.

Does Maritime Bus offer any premium features like extra legroom or movies?

Maritime Bus focuses on delivering a great travel experience at a low price and currently does not offer premium features like extra legroom or onboard entertainment. But these days, between your laptop, tablet, smartphone and e-reader, you’re the master of your own entertainment even on longer journeys.
