The Marseille-St-Charles Station is the primary train and intercity bus station in Marseille. The station sits atop a small hill; to access it from the center of Marseille, climb up the iconic Escalier Gare Saint-Charles, a large flight of stairs. Marseille-St-Charles is the southern terminus of the Paris-Marseille railway and the western terminus of the Marseille-Ventimiglia railway, both operated by TGV.
