Pros: Good value. Ride was very smooth. Cons: Maybe a text message about delay, but not a serious issue. Tips: It was a relaxing way to travel at a very good value. Bring a good book and enjoy.

Amtrak Silver Service

Pros: I was excited to take the train to Richmond. BUT it was over an hour late leaving Rocky Mount. Train had not left terminal when a shouting match broke out over seats. Never heard such words! I thinkl Conductor should have interferred before he did. Return trip to Rocky Mount was also delayed in leaving, All said, I would travel by train again. Cons: Service was good but scheduling really needs to be adressed.

Located around 5 miles north of Richmond’s city center, the Amtrak Station on Staples Mill Road is Amtrak’s busiest transport hub in the Southeast Region. The station was built in 1975 to replace the downtown Main Street Station. It now serves as an important terminal for routes traveling up and down the American East.
