Amtrak

Pros: I was very pleased with train ride, as it arrived into Cgo pretty much on time compared to going to Toledo when it was two hours late. I have to give the bus driver, Troy, a 10. He was very courteous even though he had a passenger that was loud and very rude, cussing and yelling because we were diverted to O’Hare to pick up passengers that were left behind by another driver. Troy was very polite and courteous to this passenger while still taking care of the passengers boarding. I thanked him when he departed the trip in Janesville. He spoke to the disruptive passenger when the passenger got off the bus for explanation. After all the disruptive ness Troy was able to explain the situation and when the passenger got off at South Beloit he apologized to the bus passengers for his rudeness. We need more Troys. Cons: A better protective area at Dutch Mill Park and Ride. There are two shelters with only one short bench in each. In cold weather you are not able to stand there for an hour or more without getting very cold. We need a better shelter with less exposure to the cold. Tips: Be prepared for delays especially due to weather and traffic or unexpected rerouting. Be on time for your trip. Don’t make buses or trains have to hold departure because you are not ready to board. Understandable when you have a connecting train or bus delayed.
