Pros: From Wilmington DE to Jacksonville, I did not have a seatmate. My bones were grateful! Surrounding folks were pleasant. I'm doing it again in July. Cons: On a 15+ hour train trip...you don't even provide a complimentary bottle of water? I thought that was not a gracious move. Perhaps it is asking too much? Tips: Stop at WaWa and grab some water, pretzels and a turkey wrap. Prices onboard are ridiculous. But the train's coffee is great!

Located northwest of the city center, Jacksonville’s Amtrak station has a large seating area, clean restrooms, and free onsite parking. Several fast food options are within a half mile, or grab a snack from one of the station’s vending machines for a quicker bite.
