24 July 2021- Visiting family

Amtrak

Pros: As there were a few travelers from Roanoke, I kind of enjoyed the silence. I must have slept a bit and arrived refreshed. Cons: Food, it was just OK, cooking in microwave! Tips: Some of them brought their own food, I think it would have been better. Next time when I travel this route, I will bring some fruits and nuts. Then I can get some drinks from the kitchen.

19 August 2020- Solo travel

Amtrak

Pros: Train had wifi and sockets. I could work while in it for no added cost. A plane would have been faster, but they have very little space, more expensive and charge wifi. It was wonderful service. Cons: Not sure, maybe a way to get a notice before arriving to the desired stop, something visual. I was a bit on edge trying to keep track through google maps. There were voice announcements but it was very low the volume where I was seated. Tips: Carry something to snack on, I totally forgot to bring snacks.
