Built in 2004, Rapid Central Station is Grand Rapids' main bus station for carriers, including Greyhound and Indian Trails. It is also where virtually all local bus services stop, connecting passengers across Grand Rapids. The station has an expansive lobby, waiting area, vending machines, and an Information Center. There is a bar and coffee shop down the block, and the Amtrak train station is only a 5-minute walk south.

Intercity buses to Burlington and local Green Mountain Transit both operate through the Downtown Transit Center at the corner of Pearl Street and St. Paul Street. A covered boarding area runs the length of St. Paul Street, where passengers board local transit, Vermont Translines, Greyhound, and Amtrak Thruway buses. Although there is no indoor waiting area, there are usually staff at the station if you need information. The station is extremely convenient, located right next to Burlington's charming pedestrian mall, Church Street Marketplace, in the center of town.
