Utica is a city in western New York, the county seat of Oneida County, and the tenth-largest city in the state. The town is famous for its greens, pies, and riggies (a.k.a. spicy, creamy chicken rigatoni), but Utica has so much more going for it than a delicious pasta dish.

If you’re in town during the second weekend of July, you can join in (or sit back and watch) the Boilermaker, a 15-kilometer footrace covering miles of hilly terrain both in and out of the city. If you are a culturally inclined tourist, don’t miss the chance to enjoy a mosaic tour around the quarters. Mosaic is a famous medium through which local artists express their ideas, and in many corners of the downtown area you will find colorful artworks waiting for you to explore. For those with a brave heart, the haunted history trail will be a good choice. The trail will take you through the most famous local haunted mansions, where you will learn about their history and try your luck with the supernatural.

The busiest bus station in Binghamton is the Greater Binghamton Transportation Center, which is located on Chenango Street. You can catch buses run by Greyhound, OurBus and New York Trailways at the station. There are no Amtrak trains that pass through Binghamton. The city is served by the Greater Binghamton Airport, which is located 10 miles north of downtown.
