Link to image attributionBrockville, also known as the City of the 1000 Islands, is one of the oldest railway hubs in Canada. In 2009, VIA Rail built a new terminal to replace the historic 1872 Brockville station. The new station is located on Perth Street near downtown Brockville. Since the sweeping renovation, the station has been running trains from Toronto to Ottawa and Montreal. At the wheelchair-accessible station, you will find an indoor waiting area, restrooms, and telephones. Outside, there is an ample amount of parking space available. The station opens 30 minutes before the first train arrives for the day and closes 30 minutes after the last train departs. However, working hours may change due to unforeseen circumstances like local events, holidays, and extreme weather.

The Cobourg VIA Station serves VIA Rail's Toronto to Ottawa and Toronto to Montreal lines. In 2011, the existing station was expanded to include a new platform, a modernized skywalk, and additional amenities, including accessible entrances and bicycle facilities. There is plentiful seating and restrooms inside. There is currently no local transit service to the station, but parking is available for those driving themselves. Several fast-food restaurants are just a short walk away on Division Street for a meal before your train ride.
