Pros: I’ve never traveled the train. I was surprised how cheap the fare. The ticket master was friendly and considerate. He understood I was nervous and set me up w assistance. Thank you for making my trip comfortable, safe and enjoyable. Cons: The trip home from Irvine was not as personable. EXCEPT to say the security lady wore three hats and assisted me in every way. Tips: Probably best to buy your tickets on line ahead of time (which I did) though it’s possible to purchase at station day of departure. Sometimes though they do occasionally fill up. Also get a hard copy ticket for extra security to show ticket to conductor.

Pros: Really love traveling by train - great views. Cons: The wi-fi was useless - I had to use my hotspot on my phone instead. I upgraded to business class, and it was confusing when/where/who/how would get snacks and complementary drinks. Tips: Upgrading to business class isn't necessary - the seats in the regular cars were plenty spacious and actually looked nicer than those in business class! The snacks and drinks were nice, but not worth the extra $12.

Pros: Convenient and comfortable. Cons: A clear direction of where to catch the train. The passengers were asking among ourselves where to go. Tips: Get there early. Bring a light jacket just in case.
