Amtrak

Pros: I was so happy not to have to drive that long way. And the price of the trip couldn’t have been better. The bus driver was nice. Cons: The first part of my travel with the Amtrak train was a disaster. The lady in the booth was very rude and because she didn’t even really look at my ticket. She sent me to the bus part of the station telling me the ticket was for a bus. So, I missed my train. My friend drove me to Fullerton, where the train was supposed to drop me off. After that it was a wonderful trip. I think the nasty lady in the Santa Ana train station should be fired. Plus, earlier that day, I had to wait 45 minutes on hold to talk to an am track employee. Tips: Use the bus part for as much of your trip as you can. They are much more helpful and friendly than the train part of the trip.

Amtrak

Pros: This was my first experience traveling by train. The girl at the station window was very nice and helpful. It took alot of my anxiety away having her explain about the train and going to the bus process. Cons: When I went up elevator to cross over the bridge to otherside it really smelled of human urine.

Amtrak

Pros: The bus was easy to board and arrived on time. Cons: Booking was a little confusing on the Amtrak website but this site was very helpful. Tips: Leave your car at home. This is a cheep way to get where your already going. Relax and read a book instead of road raging at poor drivers. Plus it's better for the environment this way.
