The city’s prime attraction is the Klein Memorial Auditorium, which features amazing art-deco architecture and a lavish marble lobby. The Amtrak station in Bridgeport is accessible from 525 Water St, and the unusual design means that the station’s waiting area is part of a raised structure above the six lanes of Water Street. The railroad lines along Pequonnock River are used by local Metro North and CTrail commuter rail, as well as two Amtrak lines: the Northeast Regional from Boston to Roanoke and the Vermonter from St. Albans to Washington, DC. The Milwaukee Airport Rail Station is located on the western edge of the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. The station serves as a rail link for the airport and also as a more accessible transport link for residents living in the south of Milwaukee compared to the central Intermodal Station. Amtrak’s Hiawatha Service is the only train that operates at the station and runs northwards to downtown Milwaukee and southwards to Chicago Union Station, where passengers can change for travel across the entire Midwest region. The airport station also has a shuttle service to the airport terminal.
