Portland is Maine's largest city and, because of that, the main transportation hub in the state. Since its foundation in 1786, Portland has recovered from no less than four major fires, creating a fascinating blend of old and new. Fort Collins is a college city known for Colorado State University, but the city itself offers more than just fun and entertainment for college students! The city's premier landmark is the famous Horsetooth Reservoir, which boasts various outdoor activities. You could enjoy horseback riding and biking on the bank of the reservoir, or, if it's a hot summer day, dive into the deep blue itself. If you are ready to venture into the wild, why not hike along the Cache la Poudre River, the only designated "Wild and Scenic River" in Colorado. The Fort Collins Museum of Discovery is an excellent destination for culturally inclined tourists, as it hosts many exhibitions about human discoveries.

Fort Collins features a good variety of eatery options for a small city, ensuring that everyone will be satisfied. You can travel to Fort Collins by bus or by plane. Most bus service arrives and departs from the Harmony Park & Ride, and the Northern Colorado Regional Airport is located 10 miles from downtown Fort Collins. By either of these transportation options, you can continue on from Fort Collins to some of the other top destinations in Colorado.
