Though much less well-known than its counterpart in California, Hollywood, FL, is a city worthy of exploring as well. The city's star attraction is its spectacular beach, which features soft white sand and turquoise water just begging to be photographed. Falling on the Northeast Corridor, Providence Station acts as a gateway into Boston to the north and also provides direct connections to many major cities to the southwest, such as New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. Just west of I-95, Hollywood Station is a station serving both Amtrak and Tri-Rail train routes. The station originally opened in 1928 and was designed in a Mediterranean Revival Style. The station is located about halfway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
