Memphis Central Station is a historic train station that has served as the central hub of Memphis’ transportation since 1914. It is the only full-service Amtrak station in the state of Tennessee, and serves the City of New Orleans train line, which runs from Chicago to New Orleans. The station consists of a spacious waiting area with public restrooms and several platforms for long-distance VIA Rail trains and commuter GO Transit trains.
