Pros: the bus from Virginia Beach to Norfolk was pleasant, on time and driver got us to the station safely. the train was at the station at the scheduled time and we boarded easily with a nice smile from staff. we found seats and all went well but suddenly we were informed we were 25 minutes behind schedule but no reason why and ultimately we were 1 hour late to Newark Penn Station. towards the last hour of our travel, we were informed that both toilets in our car were closed and unusable because they were clogged. Should have been signs for people to remind not to throw anything other that toilet tissue in toilet. A member of staff was able to unclog one of them a short while later. Cons: communications explaining delays - communications to "nicely" remind passengers of proper use of toilets. would have been nice to have been informed of places of interest or landmarks we were traveling though ( Chesapeake Bay/ historic Washington, etc.). Tips: Cafe car is limited with food choices and drinks - bring your own if you are traveling during meal time. if on a hours long trip, bring your neck pillow or back support for your own comfort but seats do recline somewhat and are pretty comfortable. Staff is polite and helpful when you have questions.
