Old Saybrook to Brunswick train

Old Saybrook in Connecticut is a small but historic town along the end of the Connecticut River as it leads into the Long Island Sound. One of Old Saybrook's most famous residents was actress Katharine Hepburn, who lived here for much of her life. In the city, the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center, or The Kate, holds artifacts from her career and presents cultural events and performances for the community.

Old Saybrook is blessed with gorgeous waterfront settings for outdoor activities, including Harveys Beach on the Sound and an enormous wildlife refuge called The Preserve.

Amtrak Northeast Regional trains from Boston to New York stop in Old Saybrook daily. A local commuter line stops at the same train station and provides service to New London and New Haven, from where many other intercity train and bus routes depart.

Brunswick is a college town in Maine, with different arts and cultural resources by Bowdoin College, like the Museum of Art, theater, and concert hall. The city is also known for its historical sites, including the Peary-MacMillan Arctic Museum, Joshua L. Chamberlain Museum, and Pejepscot History Center. If you want some fresh air, Brunswick has outdoor sites for those who enjoy hiking, biking, and nature, like the Bradbury Mountain State Park and Androscoggin Swinging Bridge.

Brunswick is a picturesque village that does not offer a usual entertainment scene but still has a thriving arts culture with different restaurants, museums, state parks, theaters, galleries, and outdoor areas for adventures. Brunswick has bus and train services from Concord Coach Lines and Amtrak. The Brunswick Link also provides public transit in the city through bus lines, and the Brunswick Station offers train lines provided by Amtrak Downeaster.
