Amtrak Silver Service

Pros: Helpful staff at station and on train. Pleasant seat-mates on train. Much more relaxing than driving and more comfortable than flying. It was convenient for going where I wanted to go. Cons: The train was late both ways…more than an hour late on the return trip. Next time I’d plan an overnight stay because I was told that the train is often several hours late. The Amtrak website didn’t work for purchasing my ticket. Spent two hours and finally took a chance with an unfamiliar agency to buy it.
