Though Middletown itself is pretty small, the Harrisburg International Airport is within Middletown and brings a good amount of traffic through the town. The Northeast Regional departing from D.C. makes its first stop in New Carrollton before continuing on to Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston. In addition, bus lines provide service to New Carrollton from as far away as Indianapolis or St. Louis.
