The Steamtown National Historic Site is a little museum dedicated to steam engines and their role in the economy of the United States throughout the nineteenth century. The Anthracite Heritage Museum engages a wide range of audiences by interpreting, collecting, and presenting the story of hard coal mining, allied industries, northern Pennsylvania's historic immigrant culture, and the evolution of the region's culture. Sitting on the mouth of the Quinnipiac River of Connecticut, New Haven has been the home of the esteemed Yale University for more than 300 years.
