Located in the Alleghenies, Johnstown boasts a long and rich history, which is why the city is well-known for its museums and sites. One of the popular historical attractions in the town is the Johnstown Flood Museum, which remembers and covers the flood of 1889. Johnstown is easily accessible from tens of other cities, whether you're traveling by train or bus. Most trains are provided by Amtrak, while Amtrak Thruway offers buses. If you're driving, Route 219 connects Johnstown to the major interstates in the US.
