Martinsburg is a city in the lower Shenandoah Valley, at the tip of the Eastern Panhandle region in West Virginia. The city is popular for the well-preserved Martinsburg Roadhouse: the only cast-iron-framed railroad structure in the US, open for weekly tours. Just 20 miles south of Washington DC, Woodbridge is located in Prince William County, Virginia. The city is a popular spot to stay when visiting the many Virginia state parks in the area, such as Leesylvania State Park on the Potomac River. The park is idyllic for swimming, hiking, or boating on sunny days. Head to the (free!) Occoquan Bay Wildlife Refuge to see some local bird species along its four miles of trails.
