Pros: Every seat had charger points, wifi signal strength was good. Cons: Some of the charger points, were not working. Tips: It is the best deal if you get it under $30-35.

Boston to Brooklyn

Pros: Fine bus ride. Driving was fine. Felt safe. Cons: The ticket checking took an exorbitant amount of time. There was only one person which was the bus driver. He couldn’t read the names on the ticket for some reason. Also the paper had been printed 2 DAY - TWO DAYS - prior. A gentleman on line had purchased his ticket 4 hours earlier that day so his name wasnt on the paper list. I had to explain to the driver he needs to contact whoever for an updated list. The process of ticket checking was made even worse when it began to downpour on a long line of people. We stood in the rain for 30 mins while the driver struggled to read each name on the list. The company should think about having separate jobs for tasks such as someone to check the tickets and another person to properly pack the suitcases on the bus. Tips: Prepare for low expectations.

Catch-A-Ride Bus Guide & FAQs

Yes, Catch-A-Ride offers WiFi on their buses. Although most trips with Catch-A-Ride will have WiFi as advertised, some buses might not come equipped with WiFi and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a movie just to play it safe. Catch-A-Ride WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favorite show.

Yes, there are power outlets onboard Catch-A-Ride buses. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbor might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power outlets, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a USB power adapter that typically comes with most phones and tablets.

Since Catch-A-Ride might sometimes use replacement bus vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.

On a typical day, Catch-A-Ride has 6 scheduled bus trips in total. However, the exact departure and arrival times vary depending on the day and route. The best way to find the exact schedule for your trip is to use the search tool on this page.

Catch-A-Ride does not offer meals or beverages onboard. We recommend you bring a drink and some snacks for your trip. We also suggest packing a reusable water bottle with you to reduce your impact on the environment. However, note that most buses do not allow you to bring your own alcoholic drinks. Your thirst is a priority for Catch-A-Ride, and to make sure you are never parched onboard their bus, they offer free bottles of water. Just remember - the only right thing to do at the end of your trip is to make sure every water bottle is placed in a recycle bin to reduce your impact on the environment.
