Frequently Asked Questions

What is PandaNY’s baggage policy?

Each passenger may bring one checked bag and one carry-on bag. The checked bag must weigh 50 pounds or less; its height, width, and length dimensions must add up to no more than 62 inches. Each piece of additional baggage will incur a fee of $10 to $100 depending on its size.

Can you refund or reschedule your bus ticket?

All PandaNY Bus tickets are non-refundable. Passengers may reschedule their tickets up until 2 hours prior to scheduled departure. Afterwards, rescheduling is not allowed. Each ticket can be rescheduled up to 3 times; a rescheduling fee may apply each time.

If you miss your original bus, your ticket becomes a “standby” ticket which can be used to board a later bus on the same day if there is room available. A $10 fee may apply when standby tickets are used.

Do PandaNY Bus buses have WiFi?

Yes, PandaNY Bus offers WiFi on their buses. Although most trips with PandaNY Bus will have WiFi as advertised, some buses might not come equipped with WiFi and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a movie just to play it safe. PandaNY Bus WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favorite show.

Are there power points or USB points on the bus?

Yes, there are power points onboard PandaNY Bus buses. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbour might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power points, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a power point USB converter that typically comes with most phones and tablets.

Since PandaNY Bus might sometimes use replacement bus vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.

What is PandaNY Bus's schedule?

On a typical day, PandaNY Bus has 379 scheduled bus trips in total. However, the exact departure and arrival times vary depending on the day and route. The best way to find the exact schedule for your trip is to use the search tool on this page.

Where are Panda Bus stations located in New York?

Panda currently has three active stops in New York City. All three stops are located in Manhattan’s Chinatown district and are within walking distance of each other.

  • 19 Allen Street
  • 47 Chrystie Street
  • 127 East Broadway Street

Do you need an ID to get on the bus?

Yes, PandaNY Bus requires you to present an ID to an agent to be allowed to board the bus. Make sure you have identification issued by a government agency that meets the carrier’s requirements. Alternative IDs, such as a college ID, won’t work.

Are there toilets on PandaNY Bus buses?

Yes, there are bathrooms on PandaNY Bus buses. The bathrooms are pretty basic and include a toilet, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Most bathrooms don’t have running water. As you will be using a bathroom on a moving vehicle, please use caution and hold on to a rail at all times.

Where does PandaNY Bus travel to?

PandaNY Bus is primarily known for connecting New York City to cities in the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast. This includes 6 cities in Virginia, 22 in North Carolina, 10 in South Carolina, 4 in Tennessee, and 4 in Georgia. There are also buses to Maryland, Alabama, and Florida.

Do you have to print your PandaNY Bus ticket?

PandaNY Bus does not require a printed ticket to board the bus. Instead, an eTicket is sent to you by email when you make your reservation. You can use your smartphone to show this eTicket to the ticketing agent as you board.

Does PandaNY Bus offer any premium features like extra legroom or movies?

PandaNY Bus goes the extra distance to deliver premium features to its customers.

Movies are provided during the bus trip to keep you entertained. Don’t forget to bring your favorite pair of headphones, as headphones are not always included on the bus. We recommend in-ear noise cancelling headphones due to their small size.
