Charlotte’s busiest bus station is at W 4th St in the heart of the city, offering bus trips by several carriers like Greyhound and Jefferson Lines to other cities such as Richmond or New York. The city is served by three Amtrak lines: the Crescent, the Carolinian, and the Piedmont. Travelers can catch these trains at the station on Tryon St in Lockwood. The main airport of the city is the Charlotte Douglas International Airport, which is the sixth-busiest airport in the country. It is located 6 miles from the city center.

The second-largest city in Kentucky, Lexington was named after the battle of the American Revolutionary War, and it was founded just a year before the Declaration of Independence was signed.
The presence of some of the nation's brightest minds at the University of Kentucky has helped foster a cultured air and led Lexington to take another nickname, the Athens of the West.
Downtown Lexington remains the place to see and be seen, hosting many of the city's top hotels and a handful of grassroots distilleries. You’ll be happy to know that Lexington is the city with the second cheapest pint of beer on average, so plan to hit up some breweries. Slightly east lies the Gratz Park district, home to several important buildings, including Hunt-Morgan House. A relatively modest red brick structure by today's Lexington standards, it was built by the first millionaire west of the Allegheny Mountains.
Travel to and from Lexington couldn't be simpler, thanks to no less than 180 different bus routes. There's certainly little difficulty reaching the state capital Frankfort, the rock 'n' roll sounds of Memphis, or the laid-back vibes of New Orleans.

Both Greyhound and Jefferson Lines bus services operate from this station, and available inside the station are restrooms, an ATM, and vending machines. Downtown Charlotte is within a few minutes’ walk, including Bank of America Stadium, home of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers. For those continuing their travels from Charlotte by train, the bus station is just 2 miles from Charlotte’s Amtrak station.

The Greyhound bus station in Lexington is located on W New Circle Road, near the Green Acres, Elkhorn Park, and Radcliffe neighborhoods. It is about three miles from the center of the city. The bus station has restrooms and vending machines inside, but the station has limited hours; be prepared to wait for your bus outside or in one of the surrounding fast-food restaurants. Luckily, the station is in a strip mall that is also home to a bakery, pizza joint, Burger King, and a Family Dollar.
