The building uses green construction best practices, incorporating recyclable building materials, solar panels, and geothermal wells. The 14,000-square-foot facility has a full-service Metro ticket counter, a small retail area, public restrooms, a taxi stand, vending machines, a 300-seat waiting room, a cafe, regular art displays, and Wi-Fi access. Intercity bus lines including Miller Transportation, Barons Bus Lines, and Jefferson Lines operate from the station, and it serves as a hub for the Metro's local line buses to get around within the city.
