Pros: The scenery was lovely and we stopped in so many great towns. which was so nice. Cons: What could be improved is the overall customer experience with the conductors, particularly in the way they ask to see tickets and address passengers who are seated in Business Class without a Business Class ticket. At times, the interactions came across as abrupt or discourteous. I understand that conductors have a responsibility to enforce the seating policies, but there is a way to exercise that authority while still treating passengers with kindness and respect. Many passengers, especially those who are new to Amtrak or unfamiliar with how the seating process works, may not realize they are in the wrong section. Instead of making them feel as though they have done something wrong, it would be much more welcoming to simply explain the policy and direct them to the appropriate seating area. Those of us who purchase Business Class are looking forward to a comfortable and enjoyable experience. A more friendly and professional approach when addressing passengers would greatly improve the overall experience for everyone. This is what the conductor could have said, "Thank you so much for choosing to travel with Amtrak. We truly appreciate your business and hope you're enjoying your journey with us. To sit in the Business Class section, a Business Class ticket is required. If you would like to upgrade, you can do so through the Amtrak app or by calling our Customer Service team prior to your arrival today on this train. If you do not have a Business Class ticket, we kindly ask that you take a seat in the Coach car located right next to this one. We'd be happy to help you find a seat if needed. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We hope you have a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable trip with us.". Tips: To make your journey as comfortable as possible, I encourage you to purchase your Business Class seat upgrade before boarding. This helps ensure you'll be seated in the correct section and can immediately enjoy the benefits of Business Class.

Pros: Silence. Cons: More information at the station (chatsworth) when is your first time. Tips: Get to the station with at last 15 min before the time.

Pros: Riding the train from Los Angeles to San Diego was so much better than driving. We were comfortable and at ease. We were both able to enjoy the views. Cons: We were quite pleased. We were not disappointed in any way. Tips: Buy your tickets online ahead of time. You may print the tickets or carry mobile tickets on your phone or laptop. Plan to arrive at the depot early to pick your seats.

Pros: The train ride was great! I was able to enjoy the scenery and not worry about driving! Even though it’s about a 3 hour ride from SD to Union station it did not feel long at all! Cons: Have operator’s at each station, there are many elderly that enjoy riding the train to get around and it would be great if they had assistance when needed! I helped and elderly woman who was yelling HELP and there was no attendant to help her!! Variety of snacks can be improved. And better Wi-Fi. Tips: Make sure you get there about 20 mins before your train arrives and be self aware that the platform in some stations if far from the train platform so be careful when carrying your luggage and getting in and out!!

Pros: Going by train. More people should do this. Tips: We took the train to avoid driving at our age. Maybe just as important. I just love traveling by train. This trip didn’t disappoint me. It even ended in San Diego at a very historical station a ten-minute walk from USS Midway. We returned home later the same day. Can’t get better than this.

Pros: Scenery. Cons: The food and drink in coffee carriage were payable only by cash! The WiFi on our trip back to SD didn’t work! Tips: I didn’t have to change the tickets for the later return train!
