Pros: Overall great. Ability to reschedule when I missed my bus was amazing. Cons: out of the 3 bus trips i've been on, only one of them had actually working wifi and offered hand sanitizer. it's very inconvenient to use the bathroom and not have hand sanitizer afterward for cleanliness. Otherwise, I liked my experience. Tips: Bring hotspot, hand sanitizer, and food to keep you fed.

Pros: cheap, easy to book, as expected comfortability, easy to board. Ability to look up name in case ticket taking too long to load. Cons: when it started raining, the bus started to leak water on my head and also in front. Had to move my seat. The rest stop should be a place for food as well like a mcdonalds/burger king on the high way rather than a rest location where you cannot buy food.

Pros: I did not like my trip!! Bus was more then 30 minutes late. No explanation given. Then the driver took the longest route possible to midtown manhattan!! Instead of a 1hr 40 minute ride we ended up with a 2hr and a 20 minute ride!! Again no explanation!! Cons: Communication!! Better decision making. The Holland tunnel to midtown manhattan was a bad decision!! Tips: If you have afternoon or evening plans take a morning bus in case of poor driver decisions!!

Pros: The price, though half the amount was taxes and fees. Cons: The bus was extremely late. And we arrived 2.5 hours late. Being on time needs to be improved. Tips: Be prepared for your bus to not arrive on time. And the WiFi did not work.

OurBus Cancellation Policy

Can I make changes to my OurBus ticket?
If your scheduled departure is more than 60 minutes away, you can cancel your original ticket for full credit that you can then use towards a new booking. Please note that you will need to pay the differnece in fare, if any, for the new reservation.

Can I cancel my ticket and get a refund?
Yes, you can cancel your OurBus ticket up to 60 min prior to departure. Here are your options:

If you cancel your ticket within less than 24 hours and up to 60 min ahead of departure, you will receive full credit for the amount you spent on the ticket. The credit will appear in your OurBus wallet and you can use it to book another OurBus trip at a later point.
If you cancel your ticket more than 24 hours ahead of departure, you can choose to receive a full refund back to your original payment source.

Additionally, if you purchased travel insurance with Allianz when you booked your ticket on Wanderu, you can file a claim for reimbursement for a covered reason.

OurBus Baggage Policy

Each passenger is allowed to bring:

1 checked suitcase – it must not exceed 50 lbs (22.7 kg) and 62 inches (157 cm) in total exterior dimensions when adding length + width + height.
1 personal item (such as a handbag) that must fit on the passenger’s lap.

Carry-On Luggage Policy:
Carry-on suitcases are not allowed due to limited overhead space.
All suitcases, regardless of size, are treated as checked baggage and must be stored under the bus.

Bringing Extra Luggage
Need to bring more than one suitcase? You must purchase an extra luggage add-on. Boarding with extra luggage without a pre-purchased add-on is not permitted.

OurBus Bus Guide & FAQs

If you are planning to travel with OurBus, keep in mind that each passenger is allowed one large piece of luggage up to 50 lbs (23 kg) that can be stored under the bus. The total exterior dimensions (length + width + height) of the bag or suitcase should not exceed 62 inches. You can also bring one small carry-on bag that can fit in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.

Additional suitcases are $30 each. All extra suitcases need to be paid for, and this space is guaranteed.

Yes, there are power outlets onboard OurBus buses. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbor might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power outlets, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a USB power adapter that typically comes with most phones and tablets.

Since OurBus might sometimes use replacement bus vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.
