The Kansas City Renaissance Festival runs weekends from September 5 to October 18 on the Sandstone and Ag Center campus at Bonner Springs, about 20 miles west of downtown KC — close enough for a short rideshare once the train sets you down. Back at the Wichita end, the Great Plains Renaissance Festival takes over Sedgwick County Park for a weekend in April and another in late September.
