Springfield to New York train

Pros: Train left and arrived on time. Cons: Nothing.

Space quite overall experience from boarding to disembarking was excellent.

The fact that I had 2 seat so I had enough space for myself and my bags.

Pros: I just liked going. It was a "dry run" for a trip I am taking in Feb. And I wanted to know the route to the airport before I had to use it. Cons: More trains not needing a train bridge. Tips: Be patient about trying to schedule yourself from one part of the country to another. You have to do it in stages. I would like to go from Springfield Ma to Charleston SC. But I have to do SPFLD to DC and then DC to Charleston. That can be difficult to figure out. There doesn't seem to be an easy flow chart of what trains/companies to take.

Timeliness

Pros: I like trains, they’re usually efficient and clean. I felt very comfortable on the Vermonter. Cons: The timing, no explanation for the delay and received the text alert only five mins before the new arrival time. Also we had to stop to add another car to the oversold train, which added more time to the journey.

Pros: Absolutely wonderful, the staff was incredible and the booking process was easy and convenient. Cons: I can’t think of anything.

They were very clear about what train to be on and repeated multiple times over a span of a few minutes to be sure nobody was on the wrong train

Pros: Avoided driving. Cons: Someone should’ve checked the bathrooms in each car the toilets were overflowing and disgusting.

Friendly and Helpful Staff.

Pros: How comfortable it was. The train ride was smooth and we got to our destination at the exact time that was set. There was a dining cart available to all and the items were average priced. It felt luxurious compared to air and bus travel. It was quiet and respectful to all. The staff was funny and interactive with everyone it felt so refreshing and familiar almost like the world used to be. Very impressed with our complete service. Cons: Maybr more options in dispose trash after the dining cart, such as little trash bags by the seats or even complimentary individual wipes for the food tray area to keep it clean for everyone. Tips: The food cart maybe far from the cart your in so be prepared to walk in between while moving, or find a place closer especially if you have kiddos. There's wifi and a charging plugs so you can bring electronics, but make sure you bring head phones because there are all quiet carts you must respect while you ride. Book early to get great deals.

Pros: i loved how comfortable the train was and it felt like a breeze to travel! Cons: i wish everyone on the train was wearing masks. Tips: make sure to arrive at least 10 minutes early!
