About Amtrak Pere Marquette
The Pere Marquette is an Amtrak train line that traverses 176 miles of Michigan's West Coast. The Pere Marquette line runs from Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Chicago, Illinois, with four stops on the way. It takes about four hours for a complete trip on the route. There has been a Pere Marquette train on this route since 1900; several different companies owned and operated the trains through the years, but Amtrak has run the line since 1984. The train is named for a French explorer of the Great Lakes region.
Passengers can choose from two seat options, the standard Coach Class and the more luxurious Business Class. Ticket prices range from SEK 59.46 to SEK 1,278.49 on the Pere Marquette. Each train includes free onboard WiFi, a cafe car, and a baggage train. Of course, the astounding views of Lake Michigan along the way are complimentary.
Amtrak's Pere Marquette line has been an official Wanderu partner since 2015, so you can book your trip with confidence, knowing that you will always find the cheapest Pere Marquette train tickets by searching on Wanderu.

Amtrak Pere Marquette passenger reviews
Pros Just was a good first experience Cons Uhhh just more instructions
Pros The train left on time from St. Joseph, Michigan bound for Chicago, Illinois. The staff were helpful. We arrived a few minutes early to Union Station. I highly recommend the rail route for travel to and fro Chicago. Very pleasant trip and easy.

Pros Love traveling by train!
Pros Mirar el panorama Cons Que fueran gratis las bebidas Tips Que haiga respeto y responsabilidad en el trayecto del tren grasias
Pros We typically would be driving to St. Joseph, but are carless for the time being so we checked out the Amtrak. It worked great. An easy ride, not overly crowded, very helpful train staff telling us in advance to get ready to depart and which car to be on as we left the Chicago station. Went very smoothly. Tips It can get a little tricky in the train station so definitely get there about 20 to 30 minutes early. Then you can settle in and not have to stress about which Train Track etc.
Pros comfortable, safe, friendly Cons fares Tips very punctual trains. Be on time at the station. Excellent services / helpful personnel
Pros Ease of travel, helpfulness of staff. Cons Rest room I in the coach car needed cleaning

Pros nice and smooth trip with friendly staff
Pros Ease and efficiency of booking online Convenient way to travel to Chicago Cons Arm rests between seats Foot rests
Pros Quiet and restful. Food car was great. Very pleasant trip Cons Curtains on windows and it was very cold on train. We all kept our coats on. Check outlets more often mine didn't work. Tips Always use amyrak. We need to go back to train service for all over America. If we had more trains in my state of Michigan more people could work in other areas because they could take the train. Will probably take my next vacation as a train vacation. Thank you
Pros Being on the train is really fun! The staff was helpful. Cons The Chicago Union Station experience was terrible. There were barely any signs telling riders where to go or how to check bags.
Pros It was fast and on time Cons No wifi
Pros I like that it was on time. They left right on time and we arrived right on time. Cons I'm not sure if there was working WiFi on board; I used my personal hot spot.
Pros The helpfulness of the conductor to help me figure out what to do once in Chicago. He also told me about the Metropolitan lounge.
