Can I buy FlixBus tickets at the bus?

Yes, as long is there room on the bus, you can buy a ticket at the bus from the driver. Though it's worth noting that the price will be significantly higher than buy the same ticket online ahead of time.

Are dogs or other pets allowed on FlixBus?

No, pets are not allowed on FlixBus trips. While FlixBus allows passengers to travel with service or assistance dogs on board, because of safety reasons, other pets are not allowed on the bus.

Can you change FlixBus tickets?

Yes, you can change a FlixBus ticket. While FlixBus tickets are non-refundable, the company has a flexible cancellation policy that allows travelers to make changes to their FlixBus itineraries. Changes can be made up to 15 minutes before departure on the FlixBus website or at a FlixBus travel counter.

If you would like to cancel your ticket and rebook your different FlixBus itinerary, you will receive a voucher for the value of your original purchase. If the price of your new trip exceeds the amount of your voucher, you will have to pay the difference.

In case you need to change the name of the passenger traveling, you may do so at no cost unless the trip at the time of change is more expensive than the price of the trip when originally booked. Then you will be charged the difference.

Can you cancel FlixBus?

No, all FlixBus tickets are nonrefundable. You can however change your reservation to another date or time.

Is there WiFi on a FlixBus coach?

Yes FlixBus offers WiFi connection onboard their coach trips. Though most trips with FlixBus will have WiFi as advertised, some trips might not come equipped with WiFi, and onboard WiFi can lose its connection in rural areas. We recommend you bring a book or download a film just to play it safe. FlixBus WiFi is generally best used for surfing the web, checking emails and chatting with friends; you shouldn’t count on the WiFi to binge watch your favourite show.

How much luggage can I bring onboard FlixBus?

Every FlixBus ticket allows travelers to bring two checked bags –maximum combined weight 30 kg or 66 lbs and maximum dimensions 67 x 50 x 27 cm. Passengers are also allowed to bring one carry-on bag of maximum 7 kg or l5 lbs and maximum size 42 x 30 x 18 cm.

FlixBus luggage policy also indicates that passengers should label all bags they wish to transport. Passengers can bring one additional bag in case they need to. They will have to pay a fee of 5 euros and the bag should not weigh more than 15 kg or 33lbs.

Are there power points on a FlixBus coach? Are there USB points?

Yes, there are power points onboard FlixBus coach trips. You can generally find one or two sockets per row of seats, so be a good traveller and check if your seat neighbour might want to charge up their devices as well. With the onboard power points, you can charge both a computer and USB devices with a power point USB converter that typically comes with most phones and tablets. Since FlixBus might sometimes use replacement coach vehicles, not all trips are guaranteed to have power points. We recommend to bring a power bank to charge your phone for all trips over 2 hours, just in case.

Does FlixBus offer will call tickets, that you pick up at the station?

No, currently FlixBus does not offer will call tickets. You should purchase your tickets online and make sure you have everything you need to board before you arrive at the station or stop.

Do you need an ID to get on a FlixBus coach?

No, currently FlixBus does not require an ID to board the coach. Of course, it is always a good idea to carry a government-issued ID whenever you hit the road.

Can you use your phone to board FlixBus?

Yes, you can board FlixBus by showing your E Ticket on your phone. The E Ticket is emailed to when you make your reservation. To save yourself the trouble of digging through your inbox to find your ticket, get the Wanderu app and pull up your ticket with one click.

Are there toilets on FlixBus coaches?

Yes, there are toilets on FlixBus coach trips. The cubicles are pretty basic and include a toilet, toilet paper and hand sanitizer. Most cubicles don’t have running water. As you will be using a toilet on a moving vehicle, please use caution and hold on to a rail at all times.

Can I travel with a bicycle on FlixBus?

FlixBus allows travelers to bring a standard-size bicycle on the bus. The cost to bring a bicycle on FlixBus is 9 euro and passengers need to reserve a spot for the bike in advance. Bicycles should be placed on special bike-designated carriers.

Are meals or drinks offered onboard FlixBus trips?

FlixBus offers meal service during your trip with them. If you require a meal with special dietary restrictions, we suggest you contact FlixBus customer service directly to see if one can be arranged to meet your needs. Don’t worry about being parched while travelling with FlixBus as they offer a drinks service to make sure you stay hydrated. We always recommend bringing a reusable water bottle with you to make sure you have water within easy reach and help reduce unnecessary plastic waste.

Do you have to print your FlixBus ticket?

FlixBus does not require a printed ticket to board the coach. An E Ticket is sent to you by email that you can load on most electronic devices. You will want to have your ticket ready to be displayed as you board for the agent to scan. We recommend you download the Wanderu app, as it gives you super easy access to E Tickets for your upcoming trips for most carriers. As back up, road warriors recommend taking a screenshot of your E Ticket. That way, you won’t be fumbling around in case your internet connection cuts out.

Does FlixBus offer any premium features like extra legroom, films, or TV?

Since there is no standard of what extra legroom is, the extra space you might get varies from carrier to carrier, but getting extra is always good.
