The station at 1407 S Dort Highway is a hub for trains and intercity coaches. It is a stop on Amtrak's Blue Water route, which runs from Chicago to Port Huron, as well as Indian Trails, Greyhound, and Amtrak Thruway coach services. The station has plenty of waiting room space and vending machines. During working hours, staff is always available, and it is recommended to arrive at least 45 minutes early if you are checking baggage or require assistance. There is same day and overnight parking available for those driving, and the station location on Dort Highway provides direct access to I-69.

South Station is the largest and busiest train station in Boston, and a major transportation hub for the greater New England area. South Station's 13 tracks are used by Amtrak, Acela, the MBTA commuter rail, and the MBTA subway system (a.k.a. the "T") with connections to the Boston Logan International Airport.
