Pros: Happy that the seats had foot rests and leg rests. Like the option of moving to the café car and sitting at a larger table. My seatmate and I played cards for a while, which made the trip go by faster. At first the cars were not labeled and it was difficult to figure out which car I was in while walking back from the café cart once the lights went down and the passengers changed. It seemed to other people were having that same issue because they put a strip of paper in the window with the car number. This should be a permanent thing. and I absolutely love that they come around and make sure you don't miss your station so I wasn't afraid to take a small nap. Cons: It was cold! I heard other people mention it, and the employee said if they turned it down, it would turn down all over the train. But the only car that wasn't freezing cold was the dining car. Also, the tray slammed down when people open them, and some people had broken leg rests that would slam down waking everyone. The toilet in our car, which I believe was three had very little water flow and didn't flush well. When I went to the next car, it had better water, flow and blue cleaner in the toilet that made it not smell as bad. I was shouted out for using the bathroom while we were at our one hour stop and we were told the toilets weren't flushing, but I went to put on pants because I was so cold. There was no reason to shout. I understand they probably tell people 1 million times not to use the toilets, but I didn't like the way it was shouted at me. Also, depending on where you were, it was difficult to hear the announcements so many people tried to use the bathroom during the stop because they couldn't hear what was said. Making the fact that I was yelled at more annoying. Wi-Fi was not consistent. Tips: Bring a blanket and a sweatshirt. Bring an eye mask, even when the lights go down it's still hard to sleep with the cabin lights. Bring headphones, preferably noise cancelling. It's like sleeping at the hospital. People getting on and off are usually loud even when the car is quiet. Be prepared for the Wi-Fi to not work as well in some spots.

Pros: I always take the train from Toledo to New York because I like to arrive , after hours in the train reading or writing ,and well rested (instead of driving ), at the heart of Manhattan. My light luggage, my bag with my computer and ready to go. Cons: It will be nice to put some polite signs in the bathrooms because after several hours in the train, they get messy. It is our collective responsibility to keep them clean. I do it, all the time. I clean the bathroom before using it and after, so the next person do not pile on my mess, and the mess of the person that came before them. Tips: The trip takes time. It is not like flying, so take advantage if that. Go to the snack bar snd meet people, you will be surprise how many people from different places you will have the opportunity to get to know.

Cons: The temperature in the car was intolerable (cold). We put on all the clothes we had with us, but there were no enough warm clothes in our summer holidays luggage. Next time we will take a blankets as others did. Tips: Take a blanket with you!
