The historic Chicago Union Station is the United States' third busiest train station and a hub for 15 Amtrak train lines with destinations throughout the country. Union Station is one of Worcester's most beautiful buildings, which finished up a full restoration in 1999. Its impressive interior continues inside with high ceilings and spacious waiting areas. The station is the main transport hub of the area, with Amtrak and MBTA (Massachusetts Bay Transport Authority) trains, plus intercity bus services by WRTA (Worcester Regional).
