Once an industrial powerhouse, Toledo houses many important cultural institutions in the state of Ohio. The city's premier tourist attraction is the Toledo Museum of Art, which houses important works by world-renowned artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Monet, and Picasso. Union Station at 350 S Illinois St in Indianapolis is a major train and bus station which serves the Amtrak Cardinal, and bus carriers including Greyhound, Jefferson Lines, Miller Transportation, and Burlington Trailways. The modern station is located directly south of the historic 1888 Union Station, which now houses a hotel, several restaurants, and a wedding venue. Union Station is in the Wholesale District of downtown Indianapolis, within walking distance to eateries and hotels. There is even an underground, climate-controlled walkway from the station to the nearby Indiana Convention Center and Lucas Oil Stadium, home to the Indianapolis Colts.

The majority of Toledo’s ground travel operates from MLK Plaza at 415 Emerald Ave. The station was named in honor of the late Martin Luther King Jr and opened in 1950. The station offers today’s travelers many amenities, including customer service staff, restrooms, and a Subway on-site. The station serves Amtrak’s Capitol Limited line from Chicago to Washington, D.C., as well as the Lake Shore Limited line from Chicago to New York City.
