It made me feel comfortable enough to fall asleep since from NYC to Pittsburgh is 8 hours minimum if there's no layovers or extra stops. As an aware passenger, it's difficult to sleep because the driver is driving for a substantial amount of hours and you hear about people dying in bus accidents when the drivers fall asleep. It was very comforting that he was so upbeat and excited to drive. Thank you. Cons: The seats need more leg room. I know its a bus but maybe try doing what NYC has done with the extra long buses.More

We were on holiday from the UK and had our flight to Pittsburgh cancelled. The airline couldn’t rebook us until the Friday which would have meant we’d lose 2 days of our vacation. We booked online and got the bus within a few hours. The staff were lovely and the bus was comfortable. We had a few stops and comfort breaks and we arrived earlier than scheduled which was great. We were so grateful to Greyhound. You saved our holiday plans and also saved us from sleeping on the airport floor. Thank you so much. Cons: The air conditioning wasn’t working so well and so the bus was very hot. There was also a passenger on board who was loud and shouted a little. I’m not sure whether passengers like this can be challenged or politely asked by staff to be respectful of their fellow travellers. Also, when we arrived at Philadelphia, we had to take our luggage off the bus to have it weighed. It would have been easier if we’d been told to do this when we departed New York. Tips: Check at your boarding point whether you need to have your luggage checked or weighed. Bring water especially if the buses don’t have air conditioning. Wear layers so that you don’t overheat or get too cold.More
